We've been a virtual corporation for 14 years, and now Oak Hill has opened an office in Sunnyvale, at 1250 Oakmead Parkway. Come celebrate our digs at an open house May 29, 4 - 8 p.m., and you might see the duck family in the parking lot (we love the ducks!).
Oak Hill is sponsoring the Marketing special interest group (SIG) at the SDForum, a Silicon Valley organization helping the technology community exchange info on emerging technology and best practices. We look forward to working with the SDForum community. Are printed docs a thing of the past? Val Swisher leads a panel at the Society for Technical Communication Conference in Philadelphia, May 31 - June 4, to discuss the ways we get training and support information these days. Joining her on the panel are documentation managers from Palm, NetGear, and HP. Mira Wooten shares "10 Tips for Being a Rock Star Consultant" in the Consulting SIG Progression panel at the conference. We are excited to put our Oak Hill talent pool to work for Redback Networks, Packeteer, Tellabs, Firetide, BPG Worldwide, Accept Software, Tread Creative, Skyfire, Habeas, ITM Software, and Informatica. We've started an Oak Hill group on Facebook, where we're posting upcoming projects. It gives us an effective way to reach out to our contractors, and we encourage everyone to join and check our boards for projects that might match your skills. To join, first create an account at www.facebook.com then join the Oak Hill Corporation group. Oak Hill is proud to be part of the team that helped NetApp win the 2008 SSPA STAR Award for Best Practices. Our work on the application, from content review to UI suggestions, produced an effective presentation that truly reflected the strengths of this stellar company. We know you need to not only stay on top of today's business realities, but be ahead of the game, so we've put together some timely information to help you do just that.
